The Isis was announced in July 1929 as a revised version of the 1927 Morris Six JA series, using the same 2468 cubic centimeter engine and three speed gearbox in an all new chassis. Its steel body had an American look, not surprisingly, as the body pressing dies made by Budd for the Morris Budd joint venture, the Pressed Steel Company, were shared with some Dodge models. It could exceed 65 miles an hour and return 28 miles per gallon.
