The TR7 is the wedge shaped sports car built in Britain between September 1974 and October 1981 by British Leyland Motor Corporation, a company that was renamed British Leyland in 1975. It was launched in the United States in January 1975, with its UK home market debut in May 1976, after the UK launch was delayed at least twice because of high demand in the US. It was first produced at Speke, Liverpool, moved to Canley, Coventry, in 1978, and then to the Rover Solihull plant in 1980. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the fixed head coupe (1974 to 1979); the drophead coupe (1979 to 1981).
