Austin 1100 and 1300

Automobiles

The Austin 1100 is the Austin badged version of the BMC ADO16, introduced in August 1963 a year after the Morris 1100 and known as the 1300 from the end of 1967 when it took the 1275 cc engine. Austin versions were built at Longbridge, a three door Countryman estate followed in 1966, and the Austin and Vanden Plas versions stayed in production in the UK until June 1974. The ADO16 was Britain's best selling car from 1963 to 1966 and again from 1968 to 1971. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the Mark I (1963 to 1967); the Mark II (1967 to 1971); the Mark III (1971 to 1974).
