1966 Austin 1100 and 1300

Automobiles

In March 1966 a three door estate became available, badged as the Austin 1100 Countryman and the Morris 1100 Traveller, continuing the established naming scheme. An Automotive Products four speed automatic transmission had been added as an option in November 1965. The ADO16 was Britain's best selling car from 1963 to 1966, holding around 15 percent of the new car market at its peak. The Countryman was the Austin name for the estate.
