The X4 is the coupe style version of the X3, a compact luxury crossover marketed as a Sports Activity Coupe, the second BMW to carry that label after the X6. It trades some of the X3's practicality for a sloping rear roof, and it was built at the Spartanburg plant in the United States from 2014 to 2025, in two generations, the F26 and the G02.
