Infiniti

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Infiniti is the luxury car division of the Japanese automaker Nissan. It was created so that Nissan could compete for premium buyers without stretching its mainstream badge, and it began trading on November 8, 1989, initially in North America. Over the following decades its dealers spread to more than fifty countries, although by 2020 new cars were sold in only 25 markets, chiefly North America, China, Taiwan and the Middle East. Nissan describes the Infiniti emblem as a stylized road running to the horizon that also suggests Mount Fuji, a nod to the brand's Japanese origins. In this atlas Infiniti stands as the make under which Nissan's luxury sedans, coupes and crossovers are grouped.
