Infiniti Q45

Automobiles

The Infiniti Q45 is a full-size luxury sedan that Nissan's Infiniti division sold from the 1990 to 2006 model years. It was the inaugural product and flagship sedan of the brand, built to compete with the Acura Legend and Lexus LS 400 and, in size, the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Three generations were produced: the G50 first generation that came to market in August 1989 with a 4.5-liter V8, the Y33 second generation that was a rebadged Nissan Cima, and the F50 third generation, again derived from the Cima. The first generation was known for advertising that showed no photographs of the car, for having no front grille at launch, and for a Q45a model with full-active suspension. Nissan built the Q45 at its Kaminokawa plant in Tochigi, and Infiniti discontinued it after the 2006 model year.
