The Infiniti G Line is a series of compact executive cars sold by Infiniti, the luxury division of Nissan, for the 1991 to 1996 and 1999 to 2016 model years across four generations. The first two generations, the P10 and P11 G20, were front-drive sedans based on the Nissan Primera and built in Oppama, Japan, with the first series production G20 assembled on 10 July 1990. From the third generation, the V35 G35 that reached North America for the 2003 model year, the G became a rebadged export version of the rear-drive Nissan Skyline sedan and coupe on the FM platform, and the fourth generation, the V36, added a hardtop convertible. When Infiniti moved to Q names for 2014 the G was to give way to the Q50, but the G37 continued as the Q40 from the 2015 model year.
