1989 Vauxhall Cavalier

The final generation Cavalier went on sale on 14 October 1988, being Vauxhall's version of the Opel Vectra A, available as a saloon and hatchback. During 1989 the floorpan spawned the Calibra coupe, the official replacement for the Opel Manta, which had been discontinued in 1988. For the first time in fifteen years Vauxhall began exporting cars in left hand drive, with Cavaliers badged as Opel Vectras.
