The M-Theory edition was a 2007 only appearance package with an exclusive Speedway Blue color, which for 1,500 dollars gave a customer 17 inch wheels from the Toyota Caldina, a chrome exhaust tip, a numbered plaque, four wheel disc brakes and a spoiler. It was a limited run of 2,500 cars, and replaced the XRS temporarily. It was model year 5 of 6 in the Toyota Matrix (first generation, E130), 2003 to 2008, coming after the 2006 model year and before the 2008 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Matrix run from 2003 to 2014.
