1980 Toyota Crown

Automobiles

The Crown was sold in Germany for the first time in 1980, and in October 1980 the first Crown Turbo was launched, for Japan only. The turbo helped efficiency and cut tailpipe emissions, which mattered because Japanese owners paid a tax on regulated substances. It was model year 2 of 4 in the Toyota Crown (sixth generation, S110), 1979 to 1982, coming after the 1979 model year and before the 1981 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Crown run from 1955 to 2026.
