The fourth generation was launched in February 1971 for the Japanese market, with trim levels that ascended from Deluxe and Super Deluxe to Super Saloon. It was also sold in North America and, in New Zealand, as a fully imported car from 1971 to 1973. This was the first model year of the Toyota Crown (fourth generation, S60 and S70), 1971 to 1973, which took over from the Toyota Crown (third generation, S50); the 1972 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota Crown run from 1955 to 2026.
