Automobiles

The S170 launched in September 1999 with a shorter front overhang that freed interior and trunk space, and it moved the wagon onto a unibody for the first time. The Estate followed in December 1999 and stayed in production until June 2007. The Athlete V had a turbocharged 2.5 liter engine, the Royal Saloon was offered with a 3.0 liter mild hybrid from August 2001 to 2003, and the Athlete's tail lights and grille were revised in August 2001.
