In November 2000 Toyota released the Origin, a retro model based on the RS series Crown, to mark the hundred millionth vehicle built in Japan. In Indonesia the older S130 Crown was finally taken out of production that year, while the S170 and its Estate were in their first full year. It was model year 2 of 4 in the Toyota Crown (eleventh generation, S170), 1999 to 2002, coming after the 1999 model year and before the 2001 model year.
