In September 1982 the Celica 1800 GT-T was launched exclusively for the Japanese market. In August 1982 fuel injection became standard on North American Celicas, and Toyota added the GT-S model to reinject the sports image, while the Celica Camry was replaced by the front wheel drive Camry. The New York Yankees began using a Celica as their bullpen car. It was model year 2 of 4 in the Toyota Celica (third generation, A60), 1981 to 1985, coming after the 1981 model year and before the 1983 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Celica run from 1970 to 2006.
