The GT-Four with a revised viscous coupling central locking differential began export in 1987 for the 1988 US model year and was marketed in North America as the All-Trac Turbo. Seventy-seven special edition cars were sold that year at the 77 Toyota dealerships in California, and the 1.6 GT's 4A engine was terminated in August 1987. It was model year 3 of 4 in the Toyota Celica (fourth generation, T160), 1985 to 1989, coming after the 1986 model year and before the 1988 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Celica run from 1970 to 2006.
