New for 1992, the wide body Liftback 2.0 GT-i 16 was offered in the Netherlands and Belgium, while only the 2.0 GT-i 16 Liftback and the GT-Four were officially sold in the UK. In North America anti lock brakes were available on the GT for 1992 and 1993 models. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Celica (fifth generation, T180), 1989 to 1993, and the Toyota Celica (sixth generation, T200) came next, following the 1991 model year.
