In August 1991 Toyota facelifted the Celica for the 1992 model year, giving the GT-Four a wide body with round fog lights. For FIA Group A homologation a special rally edition of 5000 units named Celica GT-Four RC was launched in Japan in September 1991. It was model year 3 of 4 in the Toyota Celica (fifth generation, T180), 1989 to 1993, coming after the 1990 model year and before the 1992 model year.
