In 1980 all Carina models had revised front and rear end styling and headlights, and also received improved interiors. As of August 1980 the EFI specification 1800 Hard Top was the only engine offered in the sedans and coupes, and the four door sports sedan Celica Camry launched in January 1980 was based on the Carina. It was the last model year covered for the Toyota Carina (second generation, A40 and A50), 1977 to 1980, and the Toyota Carina (third generation, A60) came next, following the 1979 model year. Model year pages for the Toyota Carina run from 1970 to 2001.
