The Willys CJ-3B replaced the CJ-3A in 1953, the year Kaiser Motors bought Willys-Overland, with a higher grille and hood to clear the new Willys Hurricane engine. About 196,000 were built until 1968, of which 155,494 were assembled in the United States. A militarized version, the M606, was exported under the Mutual Defense Assistance Program, and the design was licensed to Mitsubishi in Japan, Mahindra in India and others. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the only generation (1953 to 1968).
