2006 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Automobiles

The first production FJ Cruisers of 2006 were built by Hino Motors in Hamura, Japan, after the production car's debut at the Chicago show in 2005. Early production cars had an issue that made the rear differential override the active traction control, except on the TRD Special Editions, but by November 2006 the locking differential was synchronized with traction control on all FJ Cruisers. This was the first model year of the Toyota FJ Cruiser (single generation), 2006 to 2022, the first generation covered for the Toyota FJ Cruiser; the 2007 model year follows it. Model year pages for the Toyota FJ Cruiser run from 2006 to 2022.
