The revised Outback was premiered at the New York International Auto Show on 17 April 2019 and went on sale at United States dealerships from the third quarter of 2019 for the 2020 model year alongside the Legacy sedan. Its raised suspension gives a minimum ground clearance of 8.7 inches. The Outback accounts for more than 80 percent of the new station wagons sold in the US. Its model years run from 2020 to 2025.
