For 2024 the Wilderness model received an updated front fascia with new LED foglights. In October 2024 a special edition 30th Anniversary model, based on the Limited EX trim, was sold in Japan in a limited run of 500 units, with STi tuned dampers. In September 2024 the Active x Black edition returned as Active x Black EX. Most versions of the Outback wagon have had all wheel drive as standard equipment. The raised suspension of the Outback provides a minimum ground clearance of 8.7 inches.
