The sixth generation Forester was revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show on 16 November 2023 and released in North America in the second quarter of 2024 for the 2025 model year, in Base, Premium, Sport, Limited and Touring trims. In Europe it came in October 2024 with a 2.0 liter e-Boxer mild hybrid. It reached Australia on 28 May 2025 and New Zealand on 5 June 2025. A hybrid was unveiled in New York on 1 April 2026. Its model years run from 2025 on.
