The Toyota Premio, together with its twin the Toyota Allion, is a sedan that Toyota sold in Japan from 2001 to 2021. The sedans are designated compact cars by Japanese dimension regulations, so their exterior dimensions did not change with periodic updates, and unlike other Toyotas they were never exported. The Premio is the successor of the Corona, which first appeared in 1957, while the Allion replaced the Carina, which first appeared in 1970. Toyota announced on 1 December 2020 that both would be discontinued from March 2021, ending the Corona lineage.
