The Alero was a compact car that General Motors built for its Oldsmobile division, introduced in 1998 as a 1999 model to replace both the Achieva and the Cutlass, sold as a four door sedan or a two door coupe, and Oldsmobile's last new model nameplate before the division was closed in 2004. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the Alero, 1999 to 2004 (1999 to 2004). Its generation and model year pages state who owned the vehicle line and who built it in each year, with the source for each statement.
