The Camira was a mid size car that Holden made from 1982 until 1989, the Australian version of General Motors' J body family and heavily based on the European Opel Ascona C, whose name comes from an Aboriginal word for wind, built as the JB, JD and JE series, 151,807 in all, and replaced by the Apollo, a rebadged Toyota Camry. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the JB series, 1982 to 1984 (1982 to 1984); the JD series, 1984 to 1987 (1984 to 1987); the JE series, 1987 to 1989 (1987 to 1989).
