The Orion was a small family car in the C segment of Europe, offered by Ford of Europe between 1983 and 1993, with 3,534,239 sold in its ten year life. It was based on the Ford Escort, but with a separate boot instead of the Escort's hatchback, making it a four door saloon with a notchback rear end and greater rear overhang. Its name comes from the constellation, named after a Greek hunter. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the Mark I (1983 to 1985); the Mark II (1986 to 1989); the Mark III (1990 to 1993).
