The 16/50 was announced on 21 May 1926 to supplement the 14/45, and its engine had a larger bore and was rated at 16 rather than 14 horsepower for tax purposes. It remained available into 1929, finishing its run soon after the demise of its smaller bore 14 horsepower twin. It was a mid sized Rover of the late 1920s, built before the new management of Spencer and Maurice Wilks. Its model years run from 1926 to 1929.
