The 1988 Plymouth Horizon was built at the AMC Kenosha plant in Kenosha, Wisconsin, under a contract with American Motors Corporation, after Chrysler discontinued the L body Charger and Turismo and Belvidere Assembly was retooled for the AC body and AY body sedans. At the end of December 1988 Chrysler ended automobile production in the AMC Kenosha facilities, relocating Omni and Horizon production to its Jefferson Avenue facility.
