1948 Morris Twelve

Automobiles

The Twelve remained in production until war intervened, and was replaced after the war by the 1476 cubic centimeter but 13.5 horsepower Morris Oxford MO in 1948, together with the Morris Ten and Fourteen. Independent suspension was not introduced in the Twelve until the Oxford MO replacement arrived in 1948, after which the engine could be placed right at the front of the car without leaving clearance below it for a rigid front axle.
