The kei car standards were altered for 1990, allowing a 10 cm increase in length and an engine displacement up to 660 cc, so the Minica engine was now 657 cc, the front bumper gained 3 cm and the rear grew by 7 cm, with chassis codes H22 and H27. The tall three door Minica Toppo was introduced in February 1990, and the Dangan Turbo got its bigger engine in August. The Minica Lettuce was developed together with the Seiyu supermarket chain.
