From June to August 1998 a limited edition Solara was introduced, including all Advance features as standard, plus alloy wheels and colour coding. The Sports' production ceased after September 1998. The Magna of 1998 was in its third year of the third generation, built at Clovelly Park for Australia and for export as the Diamante. The Magna was developed as a replacement for the Mitsubishi Sigma, with each generation derived from Japanese platforms re engineered for the Australian market and conditions.
