The Dion was a compact MPV that Mitsubishi built at its Mizushima plant from January 2000 to March 2006, the second Smart Utility Wagon after the Mirage Dingo. It had a stretched Lancer and Mirage platform, seven seats in a 2-3-2 layout, GDI engines only, front wheel drive or full time four wheel drive, and a body taller than other minivans of its class. It was shown at the 1999 Tokyo Motor Show, facelifted in 2002 and merged into the Grandis in 2006, after about 65,000 had been built. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (2000 to 2006).
