The Dion of 2005 was in its sixth year, a compact MPV built on the Mirage Dingo with a longer length and wheelbase and seven seats, between a minivan and a one box car, a car that did not sell well and was soon to be merged into the Grandis. The total production would be about 65,000. The wheel PCD was changed to 114.3 as on the Galant, in four holes for the naturally aspirated car and five holes for the turbo. The name Dion comes from Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and joy.
