The 1985 Colony Park was the sole version of the Mercury full size wagon, one of the nine years in which the body and trim saw only detail changes. It carried the fuel injected 5.0 V8, the AOD overdrive transmission and eight passenger seating, and was marketed against the Buick Estate and Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, which also had woodgrain trim and V8 engines. Eight passenger seating was standard equipment. The Colony Park was a Panther platform wagon and the flagship station wagon series of Ford Motor Company.
