During 1986 the carbureted 5.8 L V8 returned as an option for the Colony Park, although examples specified with this engine are rare. The fuel injected 5.0 L V8 was otherwise the sole engine in the Mercury full size cars, and the wagon remained the sole version of the Colony Park with eight passenger seating and simulated woodgrain trim. The Colony Park was a Panther platform wagon and the flagship station wagon series of Ford Motor Company.
