The 1968 Colony Park was the last of the fourth generation, with a second exterior revision that followed Lincoln Continental styling updates, with simulated wood paneling covering the entire side of the body and eliminating the tapered appearance on the front fender. For 1968 the 410 V8 was dropped, replaced by a 315 horsepower version of the 390 V8, and yacht deck paneling was discontinued as the Park Lane gave way to the Marquis.
