The MKC had a single generation, built upon the Ford Global C platform. Lincoln showed the concept in January 2013 in Detroit and the production model officially went on sale in June 2014 as a 2015 model. A refresh for the 2019 model year replaced the split wing grille with a rectangular corporate grille. For the 2020 model year the MKC was replaced by the Corsair. Its model years run from 2015 to 2019.
