For 2018 Lincoln added the Lincoln Connect 4G Wi Fi system to the MKC, standard on all trims. The MKC was the fourth model year of a compact luxury crossover on the Ford Global C platform, shown as a concept in 2013 and on sale since mid 2014, and a refresh for the 2019 model year was introduced in 2018 with a rectangular corporate grille replacing the split wing grille. Lincoln was moving away from MK nomenclature. The MKC was built upon the Ford Global C platform and launched as a 2015 model.
