For 2017 Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were added to the MKC's SYNC 3 system, and a power liftgate and automatic brake hold were made standard. The MKC was by then in its third model year, a compact luxury crossover produced by Lincoln on the Ford Global C platform, and its front fascia had a split wing grille that was to be replaced for 2019. It was Lincoln's compact luxury crossover, replaced by the Corsair for the 2020 model year.
