The Continental Mark VI, built from 1980 to 1983, was the fifth generation of the Mark series and the first complete redesign since 1972. It was the first to be downsized, no longer sharing its platform with the Thunderbird but with the Lincoln Continental on the Panther platform, and it introduced a four door sedan, the first since 1960. It was available with 5.0 and 5.8 liter V8 engines and the AOD four speed overdrive, and the Signature and Designer Series. Its model years run from 1980 to 1983.
