1948 Hudson Commodore

Automobiles

The 1948 Commodore, introduced on December 7, 1947, was one of the first all new postwar designs and introduced Hudson's Monobuilt step down construction, advertised under the tagline Now You're Face to Face with Tomorrow. It was styled by Frank Spring and partly by Betty Thatcher. Sedans and Broughams were fastbacks, while coupes and convertibles were notchbacks. A single series offered the six or the eight, and total Commodore production was 62,474 cars, 35,315 of them eights.
