Honda released the second-generation Prelude in Japan on 25 November 1982, and in the rest of the world in spring 1983. Riding on an all new platform, it was initially available with a 1.8 liter 12 valve twin carburetor engine making 105 PS DIN, and later with a 2 liter DOHC 16 valve PGM-FI engine. Pop up headlights, first used on this Prelude, let the front end be more aerodynamic, and Honda's new A.L.B. anti lock brakes were offered as an option. It was far more popular in Britain than its predecessor. Each model year of this generation has its own page.
