In 2025 the third generation Transit Connect and Tourneo Connect were assembled by Volkswagen in Poland, as versions of the Volkswagen Caddy. It remained the second smallest vehicle of the Ford Transit range, between the Transit Courier and the Transit Custom. It sat between the Transit Courier and the Transit Custom in the Ford Transit range. The Transit Connect was Ford's compact panel van, developed by Ford of Europe as a dedicated commercial vehicle.
