1981 Ford Taunus

Automobiles

The Taunus of 1981 differed from the British Cortina primarily in the placement of the steering wheel, as the two car models were rebadged variants of each other. Models from 1970 were built with the same basic construction as the Cortina Mk III, with local differences. It was named after the Taunus mountain range in Germany and was often a close relative of a British Ford. The Taunus was the family car of Ford Germany, sold under the 12M, 15M, 17M, 20M and 26M names over several generations.
