For the 1985 model year the LTD underwent a minor model revision. Along with minor changes to the taillamps it received a new grille distinguished by a centered Ford Blue Oval emblem. The LTD LX performance version was in its last year, and Mercury's LTS counterpart was available only in Canada, with 134 produced. Atlanta Assembly produced its final LTD on 13 December 1985, 13 days before the Taurus was unveiled.
