In 1992 the Granada Mark III was in its eighth year and the last full year before the facelift that preceded its replacement by the Scorpio in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The range continued with the Pinto and Cologne V6 engines, the 24 valve Cosworth built V6, and standard antilock brakes, and it was the final Granada before the name was dropped from British dealer showrooms. The Scorpio 24 valve introduced in 1991 gave 200 horsepower from the Cosworth reworked 2.9 liter engine.
