The range topping Bi turbo 2.0 TDCi 210 Galaxy of 2018 came only with the Powershift gearbox and could reach 60 miles per hour in under nine seconds. Ford expected petrol versions to make up only two percent of its United Kingdom sales at launch. The Galaxy was a seven seat people carrier that Ford built for the European market, sharing its platform with the Mondeo in its later forms. It was slotted between the Tourneo Connect and the Tourneo Custom in the Ford range, and was the first Ford brand people carrier made outside North America.
