The tenth generation was the first ground up redesign since 1979, with an all new chassis and body, rounded aero styling and a completely new engine lineup. It retired the Twin I-Beam front suspension, added a rear door to SuperCab trucks in 1999, and was developed only for the F-150 at first, with heavier trucks becoming Super Duty. It was Motor Trend's Truck of the Year for 1997, and F-150 sales rose from 750,000 to over 900,000 in 2001. Each model year has its own page.
